Until my friend introduced me to comics, I had never heard of Zatanna, and had no idea how awesome she is.
It all started one day at Uni, when I said that I wouldn't mind joining her at LFCC and cosplaying, but had no idea who to be. This friend, who has a slight obsession with Harley Quinn and the entire Batman comics, began to look me up and down, commenting on my figure and which characters I would suit (most of the names went over my head).
Finally, she stopped, before bouncing up and down screaming "Zatanna! You'd make an awesome Zatanna!"
Obviously, I received a whack 'round the head for not having a clue who she was. This prompted a visit to the local comic book store, where I bought my first ever comic: "Batman Detective Comic: Issue 843". I read, and became obsessed.
Basically, this blog is to show my progress and get help with my Zatanna costume, including the props and magic tricks. Any awesome tricks or shops that I find, I will be posting about. I'll also put up pictures of the costume as it develops, so we can see 'before' and 'after' pictures (with me in my scruffs, true Zatanna style).
